Thank you for voting and special thanks for voting Lib Dem and extra special thanks if you voted Lib Dem in Torbay. The results have thrown up a challenge and over the next hours and days we will have to meet it. We are in a fast changing situation so don't jump to conclusions on what you hear. Especially if you hear it from the media or political opponents.
I'm off to London Saturday to discuss events with Nick Clegg and other senior Lib Dems. Expect many conflicting reports tomorrow about our intentions together with a combination of savage attacks and love bombs from Labour and the Tories.
Adrian.
Congratulation on your re-election and increasing your majority. You have shown other MP's how to hold office with integrity and honesty. Lets hope those elected into the new Parliament will follow your example.

Please don't do a deal with David Cameron...
Don't let Nick lose your seat for you..
Imaging the posters going up in Torbay next election.
"Vote Sanders get Cameron"
Listen to your head, if not your constituents.

Dear Mr Sanders
I wish to congratulate you on your victory. This marked for first time I was eligible to vote in British (federal) election since moving to Torbay in 2005. I supported your party because I felt they have the best chance to influence change. I now implore you to push for electoral reform - PR. The election result affords a great opportunity to exact this change now. I believe a golden opportunity that should not be missed. For your leader to cobble together a deal with either the Tories or Labour without a deal in place for PR is tantamount to political negligence. Thank you and good luck in the coming days.

Liam Fox, this morning, was trying to place the responsibility for the formation of a new government on the Lib Dems and it was obvious that any serious reform to the voting system was not on the agenda. Will someone please tell him that as the largest party the onus falls on the Tories.
I have voted lib/lib dem ever since I got to vote in the early sixties,I can remember the uproar when Orpington had its first Liberal M P, and listening to Jo Grimmond at the Royal Albert Hall.
If an agreement was reached that didn't include a definite move to P R,I would feel let down even betrayed. It would mean that my vote for the last forty plus years had been wasted.
